ABOUT THE ARTIST

The artist and photographer is Dave Lewis. I do photography, and act as web master for LewisArtandPhoto.com, as well as attepting to learn the myriad capabilities of Photoshop.

Some of the images found on this site are photos with minimal manipulation, while other images are extensively modified in Photoshop to achieve some "artistic" interpretation as seen in my mind.

All of my curent photography is taken via a Canon EOS 1Ds digital SLR and all "L" Series Canon lens. The EOS 1Ds is an incredible full 35 mm frame size 11+ mega pixel digital SLR. Some of my images were also made with Canon EOS D30 and EOS 1D digital SLR cameras. I shoot almost exclusively in "RAW" mode and use PhaseOne Capture One DSLR Pro to convert from Raw file format to either 8 or 16 bit TIFF images for Photoshop work.

Images for this web site are created using a custom template with BreezeBrowser.

Using Photoshop I am able to create images in color, black and white, sepia toned, desaturated color, etc.

My work highlights the main areas that I most enjoy, a very eclectic mix of fairly standard photography and more esoteric images..
